A recently renovated home, needed a special backyard to match. This project was executed in phases. Planting the backyard was a major focus, first with a perennial garden, which helps transition the change in elevation. Secondly, other plantings were used around the yard to bring color and texture to some areas, and privacy screening to others. An irregular bluestone walk was installed to provide access from the drive to a back door and rear patio. After re-grading, bringing in many yards of fresh top soil, new plantings, a beautiful stone walk, an irrigation system layout, and some grass seed…. An Oasis.

A unique project, a full backyard renovation involving many truck loads of material & hardscaping. There was a basic plan in place from the homeowners, which we were hired to bring to life. We worked closely with the client to ensure complete satisfaction of installation as well as material. This job required us to deal with a sloped back yard and make it as level as possible to ensure the most useable space, yet affordably. We started by bringing in a large amount of clean fill to level the area. We were able to level this yard with out requiring the installation of a costly retaining wall. We then installed Aluminum edging, a pea gravel perimeter, the bluestone path through the lawn area and modern twist of a bluestone patio, & the new plants. After mulching, we brought in fresh top soil to reseed the lawn area. A crushed stone area was left for a future wood deck. We literally raised this backyard to new heights.

Our client wanted a new front landscape, focusing on a new walkway but with new modern pavers. We first removed the old stone work, front plants, weeds & the existing front lawn. We then installed a curving paver walkway that leads to the front door from both the street and driveway. We then installed the new front planting, mulched and added a new sod lawn, giving it new life. A new front landscape!

Total transformation of the front landscape & hardscape. After agreeing on a plan for the new walk and planting, we removed the side & center walks, the existing ground cover around the trees, & the plants in front of the house. We then installed the new front walk with an antiqued, tumbled finish paver to give the walk both a classic and relaxed feel. Once completed, we installed the newly designed planting. Finally, we designed new bed lines around the trees and planting beds, mulched the entire property & reseeded the lawn. We still like the results!
